MMA Diet Tips

What do I Eat?

TheĀ things to consider when talking about diet are that its is not a diet but a life style. There are lots of diets out there that claim to work within a period of time and have tremendous result. The side effects these diets do worse than good. A bad diet may help loose weight but leave you tired and weak while a good diet leaves you strong and energetic. Did you know that most fighters will fight 20lbs lighter than what they would normally walk around weighing? They cut tremendous weight for a fight and maintain tons of energy.

Eat natural food!

What do i mean by natural? Well many people have many ideas about natural food. When I think natural I think of whole non-processed foods, like instead of eating salted nuts I buy whole nuts and salt them my self with sea salt. Or if you like yogurt don’t buy the low fat buy the whole milk yogurt, because fat is not bad for you but the process of making it low fat or fat free is what is bad for you. If you like fruit flavored yogurt buy plain or vanilla and add fresh fruit, don’t buy the regular processed junk. I like one of Eric Wong’s ideas of how to think of “natural”, he says if it wasn’t here 2,000 years ago it probably isn’t that good for you.
